Its been a very successful couple of weeks for the business rates team and our clients.
Highlights include a reduction on the 2005 Rating List for a client with a warehouse in Bishop’s Stortford. Due to the backdated savings the client will be receiving a cheque for almost £77,000.
We have also just reduced the Rateable Value on an office in Mayfair on the basis of disturbance from the adjoining building site. The reduction has resulted in savings of over £137,000 and a very happy client. If you have building works near you then please let us know so that we can assess if you have grounds for an appeal.
